March Updates…

Dear Readers,
Summer is over and autumn is already beginning to show its colours, not that I can see them right now as I’m trapped in a hotel in Brisbane with a cyclone headed for the CBD. It’s a very scary situation but my hotel is safe and the staff are so kind and helpful. I came up with my son ten days ago who had his third brain surgery in twelve months. I wish I could tell you I’ve done heaps of writing,  but although I brought my laptop, my days of working without a proper setup are well and truly over. I’m dreaming of getting home to my office and my husband and my little dogs.
Experiencing a cyclone is a new experience for me. Tasmania has a cool temperate climate so we only have the occasional thunderstorm. A weather event like this is definitely pushing me out of my comfort zone but I’m sure it will come in useful for a story one day!

My reading list. Trish Morey’s and Caitlin Crews plus my usual psychology.

Best wishes,
Melanie
